Police in Tennessee have arrested a man believed to have stolen the identity of some of the Grand Ole Opry’s biggest stars, including Little Jimmy Dickens.

WSMV television reports that Johnny Lee Presley faces four counts of credit card fraud and one count of identity theft. He has been booked at the Sumner County Jail in Gallitin, Tenn.

“I couldn’t believe that someone would do a thing like that,” Dickens — one of the Opry’s most recognizable legends — told News Channel 5 in Nashville.

Stonewall Jackson is another country icon who was allegedly victimized in the scheme. In fact, it was Jackson’s case that brought the charges against Presley, but the man, who also goes by Alvin Roiland, faces additional charges in the Dickens case.

Police say Presley opened credit cards under the names of as many as 10 Grand Ole Opry stars and had them sent to different P.O. boxes around Hendersonville, Tenn. The artists had no idea money was being charged in their names, as they didn’t even know the accounts existed.

Presley is 59 years old and claims to be related to Elvis Presley. He also says he works in the music industry. When he was arrested following an eviction from a Murfreesboro, Tenn. hotel, he was found with several Tennessee drivers licenses with different names and looks.

Dickens is 91 years old and is arguably the most memorable face in the Opry.
