A 23-year-old man is accused of leading deputies on a high-speed chase in a stolen car and burglarizing the Bridgton Chamber of Commerce.

The Cumberland County Sheriff's office says a deputy spotted Aaron Tanguay driving 100 mph on Route 302 in Naples early Friday morning.

The suspect drove over spike mats laid down by deputies in the area of the Bridgton Drive-In.

Deputies say the suspect was later seen running from the vehicle, which was determined to be stolen out of Portland, after he crashed into a sign outside R.G. Johnson Sporting Goods.

At 8:30 a.m., police received a report of a burglary at the Bridgton Chamber of Commerce. Police say Tanguay fled on foot after he was confronted by employees.

The suspect was located and taken into custody a short distance away from the chamber of commerce building.

Tanguay is charged with burglary, theft and criminal trespass. He's expected to face additional charges related to the stolen vehicle and police chase.
