Two women from Maine are facing charges in Massachusetts for allegedly possessing over a thousand bags of heroin in a cemetery.

Palmer Police Lieutenant Christopher Burns told WWLP-TV that officers were investigating a suspicious vehicle at the Four Corners Cemetery, at around 6:30 Wednesday evening, when they saw bags of heroin inside. In addition to nearly 1,200 bags of heroin, investigators found nearly four grams of cocaine, hash oil, and $144 in cash.

Police arrested 28-year-old Ann-Marie DeJesus and 29-year-old Angela Wheatley, both of Millinocket, Maine. They're charged with trafficking in heroin and a drug violation near a school. The women are due to make their first court appearance today.
