Maine Soldier Dies in Afghanistan

Maine has lost another soldier in Afghanistan. SFC Aaron Henderson was born in Houlton. He died this morning from wounds he received three weeks ago in an explosion.

According to the Bangor Daily, Henderson was a special forces soldier who had been in the Green Berets for many years. He was a member of A Company, 2nd Battalion, 5th Special Forces Group, and was currently serving in Afghanistan.

SFC Henderson died Tuesday at Bagram Air Force Base in Afghanistan. He leaves behind family in Maine.
