Maine Restaurant Nominated For National Award

A local restaurant was nominated for the James Beard Foundation's Best New Restaurant Award.

Central Provisions in Portland opened up in February of last year and is one of several restaurants up for the award.

Paige Gould operates the restaurant on Fore St. with her husband Chris Gould.

She says being nominated for a James Beard Award is the highest honors someone in the restaurant business can receive.

The 2015 James Beard Awards will take place in Chicago on May 4.
