It's a sure sign that spring has sprung! It's Maine Maple Weekend, and as I do each and every year, I'll be cooking breakfast at the Dover Foxcroft Fire Department on Sunday Morning! It's a great weekend to see just how sweet the Maple Treats are, and we'd love to see you in Dover Foxcroft this weekend!

Bob's Sugarhouse in Dover Foxcroft, provider of all of the sweet maple syrup for the big breakfast will also host their weekend long open house, Saturday 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and Sunday from 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. You’ll see sugaring demonstrations, tours of equipment and facility, syrup tasting,many free samples including mini pancakes with Bob’s Maine Maple Syrup, Bob’s maple syrup on ice cream, maple baked beans, maple cakes, cookies, jellies,maple dips,hot mulled maple cider, maple coffee, wide array of maple bi-products, Raye’s Mustard, maple sugar candy, maple taffy, maple fudge, maple seasonings (many new varieties added this year!), and the very popular Maple Cotton Candy, in bags or convenient size take-home tubs! Bring the whole family and enjoy the day taking a trip back in time to the mystique of maple syrup making, smell the sweet maple clouds of smoke billowing from the evaporator as nature’s sweet nectar is spun into this natural syrup. Talk with Bob as he shows off his sugaring equipment and delights you with sweet maple samples. There’ll be balloons for the kids and door prizes drawn each day. On Sunday, stop first at the Dover-Foxcroft Fire Station in the middle of town for a delicious maple breakfast – pancakes cooked by myself, french toast, sausage, bacon, home-made homefries, juice, coffee, and milk. It all starts at 7:00 a.m. Then drive down the road to Bob’s Sugarhouse to see how it is all made. Hope to see you there!
