Maine Law: Properly Secure Your Dog In The Back Of A Pick-Up
Every now and then I end up following a truck that has a loose dog in the back.
Man, this makes me nervous. So much so that I've actually pulled over to let the truck with the dog in it get a mile or so down the road from me. I really don't want to see the dog fall out and get run over.
When I had a Mustang I used to put problems behind me. Now that I have a Corolla, I pull over and let them get way in front of me.
You never see people in the back of trucks anymore, for good reason. I can't imagine putting my "best friend" in the back of a truck anymore. Nothing good can come of it. But if you have to, yesterday the Maine State Police Tweeted this:
REMINDER: ME law requires pets riding in the back of a pick-up be properly secured.
The Tweet also included a link to the written Maine law pertaining to dogs in the back of a vehicle.
