Do you have a child between 8 and 12 who enjoys the outdoors?  Do they also enjoy North Woods Law, the Maine based TV reality show?  If you answered yes, then here's something for them to do this summer!

The Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife has developed "Camp North Woods", a summer camp for kids!

Camp North Woods will be at the University of Maine 4-H Camp and Learning Center at Bryant Pond. According to a press release from Maine IF&W, "Camp staff and instructors will include Maine Game Wardens from North Woods Law, Fisheries and Wildlife Biologists, Recreational Safety Coordinators, Information and Education staff as well as staff from Bryant Pond."

The lucky campers will learn it all with hands-on instruction and training in the following activities: ATV, Boating, Paddle Sports, Turkey & Deer Hunting, Outdoor Survival, Map & Compass, Life of a Maine Game Warden, Archery, Shotgun, Rifle, Spin Fishing, Fly Fishing, Fly Tying, Trapping, and more!

An all-boys camp will be held July 15-19 and an all-girls camp is planned for July 29-August 2,  there are 48 spaces available for each session.

Parents can join their children for the last two days of the session!

Because there's a limit to the amount of weekly campers, a lottery will be held on June 8th.  There is a $5 fee to enter the lottery.  Deadline for the lottery is June 1st. The tuition fee for a week of camp is $400.   All proceeds will go to support Camp North Woods.

Campers must be at least 8 years of age by July 15, 2015 and no older than 12 years of age on August 2, 2015.
