October is Breast Cancer Awareness month.  Here in Maine it's also a month when folks dressed in orange are hunting turkeys, bear, deer and moose.

A group of Maine lawmakers are sponsoring a bill that would allow hunters during the month of October to wear pink instead of orange.  As you probably know, pink is the color one would wear to show their support for Breast Cancer Awareness month.  You'll see sports teams wearing pink athletic gear, participants in a benefit walk or run wearing pink t-shirts, and all sorts of people in general wearing pink ribbons that month.

Republican Ricky Long of Sherman introduced the bill that will be heard this afternoon at 1 in Augusta.  The bill is co-sponsored by Archie Verow of Brewer and Stephen Stanley of Medway.
