Maine Apple Sunday this Weekend- Here are Places You Can Pick Up Some Farm Fresh Apples
Celebrate the official opening of fall apple harvest season with specials at some orchards including free samples, and special activities.
The Maine State Pomological Society will hold the 17th annual Maine Apple Sunday on September 10, 2017. This is the event that symbolizes the start to apple picking season in the state. While there may still be summer crop on some trees, the fall crop is perfectly fresh for the picking.
For Maine Apple Sunday participating Orchards will have samples of their apples and apples products as well as specials on some of their goods as well. Kids will love it as many particpating orchards have events just for kids! Participating orchards in the area are Treworgy Family Orchards in Levant and Maine-ly Apples in Dixmont.
