Maine Apple Sunday is this Sunday, September 8, 2013. Apple picking season begins in August and is in full swing from early September to late October. Pick Your Own apples and apples at the farm stand are available at nearly every apple orchard. To find out where the nearest apple orchard is, visit the orchard map. Other fun activities include hayrides, pumpkin patches, corn mazes, petting zoos and picnics. Farms stands are a great place to find fresh pressed cider, bakeries, and many other Maine-made products.
