Madawaska Lake Orange Drink Investigation Closed

Police have ended their investigation into an accident involving a jug of orange-flavored drink that crashed through a couple’s windshield near Madawaska Lake.

Patrick Chasse, 86, of Frenchville and his wife, Alice Chasse, were driving on Route 161 when the jug crashed through their windshield on September 21.

The couple suffered minor injuries, mostly cuts from the broken glass.

Police sought information from drivers who may have witnessed the accident but no one came forward.

Maine State Police Lt. Brian Harris told the Bangor Daily News "the investigation is closed unless new information arises.”
