Trace Adkins will usher in the 2012 holiday season with an appearance at the 86th annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, one of the country's most-beloved festive traditions. The Louisiana native will join thousands of Americans as they line the streets of Manhattan on Nov. 22 to witness an incredible lineup of new balloons, floats and superstar musical acts.

So far, Adkins is the only country performer confirmed to appear during the parade. Pop acts Carly Rae Jepsen, Colbie Caillat and a host of music's biggest names will join the 'Tough People Do' singer for the jaunt down the heart of the Big Apple. No word yet whether Adkins will perform a few of his favorite holiday classics, or material from his upcoming album.

Adkins is bravely returning to New York City after he was one of handful of country superstars stranded in the city following the destruction of Hurricane Sandy just two weeks ago. The charitable entrepreneur was in the direct path of the storm as he was filming the upcoming season of 'Celebrity Apprentice All-Stars.'

Fans eager to catch a glimpse of Adkins on Turkey Day can tune into NBC on Nov. 22 at 9AM ET for the three-hour holiday celebration.
