Lisbon Area Residents Looking For Runaway Emu

People in the Lisbon Falls area are being asked to watch out for a runaway emu.

The 5'4" bird escaped from his handlers earlier this week, when he was being transported to his summer home. The folks at the Rockin' T Equine Sanctuary in Lisbon Falls say he's a rescue and they believe he's in an area near Summer Street and Edgecomb Road.

If anyone sees the bird, they're asked to contact the rescue at (207) 353-6581 or call the ACO/LPD at (207) 353-2500. It's important that you don't chase him, because he will just run away. Call authorities and let them deal with him.
