A Limestone man rolled his pickup truck after dropping his lighter.

State Police say the accident happened just before 8:00 Monday night on Route 161 in Woodland. 29-year-old Ryan Lowell was traveling south when he dropped his lighter while trying to light a cigarette. He became distracted and lost control of the pickup, swerving into the northbound lane. He over-corrected, driving off a steep embankment. The truck flipped end over end, crashed through several trees, and then came to rest on its roof in a field.

Lowell was taken by private vehicle to Cary Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries. Police say he was wearing a seat belt.
