Want to see what it would be like to live as a Civil War soldier? See how bayonets are handled, practice drills, and more.

The 20th Maine Volunteer Infantry Company B, made up of dedicated men and woman, take on the roles of Civil War soldiers flawlessly. The soldiers will be setting up camp on the grounds of historic Fort Knox in Prospect.

The 'School of a Soldier' events will take place during the day from 9-5PM Saturday and 9 to 12PM on Sunday May 20, and 21st.

See muskets, bayonets, what the soldiers wore and lived in, as well as things like marching demonstrations and firing guns.

There will be no cannon fire this weekend, but there will be cannons fired later this year. For more information on this event or other upcoming events at Fort Knox visit their website here.
