Families are invited to enjoy outdoor literary fun with the StoryWalk program. Pages of a children's book are posted along a scenic waterfront walkway to encourage family bonding and a love of reading!

The Brewer Public Library has set up it's StoryWalk for the second year, and this year promises to be bigger and better than ever! Because the program started earlier than last year, even more books will be offered over the summer.

The book pages are set up on posts all along the Penobscot Landing Trail on the Brewer Waterfront. Families can park in the lot on the end of Hardy Street in Brewer (off South Main Street) and read the pages while enjoying all the new waterfront walkway has to offer. Scenic views of the water and some really beautiful landscaping make this an enjoyable experience for young and old alike!

Brewer Public Library's Executive Director Katie Conner told us the books will be changed every couple of weeks. Once the walk is done, as families make their way back to their cars, Conner says she hopes they'll stop into the library to further that love of reading!
