Country artist Lee Brice will perform at the Augusta Civic Center on Saturday, and apparently the "Drinking Class" singer really enjoys performing for the people of Maine.

"You grow up in South Carolina and you don't necessarily think that up north, you don't think that up north you're gonna have some crazy country fans," Brice said in an interview with Q106.5 on St. Patrick's Day. "Then you go up there, you realize how many hardworking, everyday, kick-ass people there are."

"Crazy Over Me" singer Dylan Scott also is scheduled to perform at the Augusta show. Bryce calls Scott a newer act but says "he's also been on the road for two or three years busting his butt, you know, so he's country, and if you like country music you're gonna love him."

Colorado native Clare Dunn will also play Saturday night. Brice says he first heard Dunn after his bandmates urged him to check out her music.

"They came to me last year and said 'hey man, this girl out here rocks,' he said. "If my band is coming to me and saying 'dude, this girl rocks,' that's saying something."

This weekend's show is part of the Life Off My Years Tour, which originally included Tyler Farr, but the "Better in Boots" singer was forced to cancel his performances after undergoing surgery to remove a polyp on his vocal cords.

In an interview last month with Nash Country Weekly, Farr said the procedure was a success and his recovery was ahead of schedule. Farr resumed singing on Feb. 22.

The Life Off My Years Tour is currently scheduled to wrap up April 23 in Toledo, OH.
