Lady Antebellum had a busy week this week promoting their new album ‘Golden,’ but that didn’t stop them from taking time out of a hectic schedule to perform for and visit with sick children.

Bandmembers Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood visited Kravis Children’s Hospital of Mount Sinai in New York City on Thursday (May 9) to perform an acoustic set of the band’s songs, as expected. But the boys also sang children’s songs for the patients, too, making it a very special Lady A set. It was also missing singer and mom-to-be Hillary Scott, making it that much more rare.

The duo represented the trio, performing as part of the Musicians on Call/Citi program. They also appeared on Mount Sinair’s KidZone TV. They were able to reach other patients that way, as they were fielding questions from the kids in the pediatric unit and those who were confined to their rooms.

In addition to performing, Haywood and Kelley visited the bedsides of many young patients. As a band, Lady A made a donation to Musicians on Call on behalf of LadyAID, their foundation which raises awareness and supports the plight of children who cannot help themselves.

Big ups to Lady A for being generous with their time and remember what’s important in the middle of a hectic album release week.
