Kenny Chesney's forthcoming studio album is getting quite the makeover. Just two days after revealing that the project's release date has been pushed back -- and that it'll include a duet with Pink -- the country superstar has announced that the record will not be called Some Town Somewhere, as originally decided.

"The new music and the energy that the new music's bringing ... feels like a cosmic hallelujah; that's the word that came out," Chesney told Good Morning America on Friday (July 8), "so that's actually gonna be the title of the new album."

Originally due out on Friday, Cosmic Hallelujah is now set for release on Oct. 28. The new timeline will allow Chesney to add “Setting the World on Fire,” his duet with Pink, to the project. The two formed a friendship while Chesney was spending time in California.

“The thing about Pink, beyond what a great singer she is, is what a generous spirit she has,” Chesney says. “To me, great singers are the ones who can get inside a song and capture the spark. When you hear Pink on this song, you believe her — and to me, that’s everything the song required to come to life.”

Chesney is currently on the road, on his 2016 Spread the Love Tour. The trek is scheduled to run through late August.

During his GMA appearance, Chesney performed "Noise" -- the first single from his upcoming disc -- as well as “American Kids” and “Save It for a Rainy Day,” from 2014's The Big Revival.
