'Pirate Flag' singer Kenny Chesney is known for his big-hearted kindness, as portrayed by his generosity to Boston and his support of grieving Newton families. Now, he's helping 'spread the love' in another impacting way, teaming up with non-profit organization Music and Memory to help bring music to Alzheimer's disease and dementia patients.

The country crooner will help provide the gift of music to patients in need by making personalized music players available to them. These debilitating diseases are often so heartbreaking, and music has been found to be therapeutic for those suffering from the Alzheimer's, leading to improved social engagement and quality of life.

"The gift of a music player full of favorite songs can help reconnect people with Alzheimer's to good memories and to the people around them," Chesney says in a PSA. "And that's a ray of hope for a lot of people."

It's heartwarming to know that big celebrities such as Chesney are making leaps in helping advance such notable causes. Along with his philanthropic efforts, he is spending his summer on the road in the throes of his 2013 No Shoes Nation Tour.
