Country music is grieving the loss of a legend today, with the death of George Jones. Artists are taking to Facebook and Twitter to share their thoughts. But Keith Urban shared a quick tribute with one of his Urban Chat videos!

George Jones died today at the age of 81 after a brief illness. One of my favorite Possum-related memories actually didn't involve him! But certainly included one of his best songs.

Years ago, when I was in Nashville, I attended a "guitar pull." That's when songwriters get together with acoustic guitars and share some of the music they wrote. It's always fun to hear the stories behind the songs.

At this particular guitar pull, two of the songwriters were Bobby Braddock and Matraca Berg. Bobbyy started talking about this "little song" that he and Curly Putnam wrote many years ago. Little did they know it would come to be known as the greatest country song ever written. He then played "He Stopped Loving Her Today." The standing ovation went on for several minutes.

As everyone settled back into their seats and the attention went to the next songwriter, Matraca Berg, she looked at Bobby with a deadpan expression and finally said, "Oh THANKS! I have to follow THAT?!" Everyone cracked up.

Wonderful tribute here from Keith Urban. Rest in peace, George. You will be missed!
