Speed and alcohol were factors in a crash in Frenchville that sent two juveniles to the hospital with minor injuries early Saturday morning, police say.

State police responded to the wreck on Pelletier Avenue at 3 a.m., according to a Saturday evening press release.

Police said a pickup truck operated by a male juvenile left the roadway, crashed into a ditch and rolled over, landing on its roof.

The driver and his passenger, another juvenile, were able to get out of the vehicle after the crash. They were transported to Northern Maine Medical Center in Fort Kent for treatment of minor injuries.

Speed and alcohol were both factors in the accident, the release said.

The crash remains under investigation.
