Jennifer Nettles will be releasing a brand-new solo record, Playing With Fire, in a couple short months. The singer announced on Thursday (March 10) that her second solo album will be released on May 13 on Big Machine Records.

"I am so proud of this record," Nettles says in a press release. "I can't wait to share it with my fans and hear their reactions. It is a ton of sass and emotion and fun."

Playing With Fire was recorded in Nashville; it was produced by Dann Huff (Keith Urban, Taylor Swift), and Nettles tapped some of Music City's most sought-after songwriters -- Brandy Clark, Shane McAnally, Jessie Jo Dillon and Lori McKenna -- to collaborate on the disc's 11 tracks. The project's lead single, "Unlove You," is currently climbing the country charts: “I can’t unlove you / And a heart can’t unbreak / I can’t unfeel how it felt / To feel so much myself / My whole body ached,” Nettles sings in the song. “I can’t unknow this / Lord, I wish I knew how / But I can’t unlove you / So come love me for now."

While putting together Playing With Fire, Nettles has been keeping busy: She headlined her Playing With Fire Tour, starred in NBC's Coat of Many Colors and is currently on the road with Brandy Clark, Lindsay Ell and Tara Thompson for the Next Women of Country Tour.
