For his second performance during the three-hour 'CMA Music Festival: Country's Night to Rock' special, Jason Aldean wowed the audience by playing his big hit 'Fly Over States.' In the anthem, Aldean tips his hat to the often overlooked midwest states. Apparently, some of those fly over natives were in the audience when Aldean performed the song at LP Field in June, because they were screaming their heads off.

After hours of live music performances, it can be hard to keep the attention of an audience, but Aldean didn't seem to have any trouble. 'Fly Over States' spent some time in the top spot on the country music charts, and the award-winning singer's fans knew every word on TV on Monday.

Plus, it doesn't hurt that Aldean knows how to work in a sweet guitar solo in his songs. The country star expertly wielded his axe, in addition to making sure that his vocals didn't miss a single beat. The pre-taped 'CMA Music Festival' special aired on ABC on September 17, giving country music's most popular stars plenty of national airtime.
