It’s that time again! Time for a celebration of bluegrass, in memory of a man whose life was all about music. Time to gather together to play, listen, remember, and raise money to further the futures of the next generation. The 14th Annual Slim Clark Memorial Scholarship Show will be held Saturday, May 3rd at 7:00 p.m. at the Irving Tanning Community Center houses in the Hartland Elementary school on Elm Street in Hartland!

Proceeds from this event go to a scholarship at Nokomis High School for students going on to school and majoring in the arts. Slim was a noted wildlife artist as well as a worldwide music entertainer. Hundreds of his works are prized by people everywhere. This event is being sponsored this year by Muffler King of Newport and Q-106.5, as it has been since the onset.

This year features Slim’s daughter, Jewel Clark, mixing old country songs with originals, as well as lively yodeling! Joining her will be Slim’s son Wilf Clark and the award winning Bluegrass act The Misty Mountaineers. The special guest act this year will be the duet of Ted Demille and Bob St. Pierre doing some fancy picking and many fine originals. This is a wonderful addition to the lineup! The show starts at 7:00 p.m. with the doors opening at 5:30.

There will be a 50/50 raffle and door prize. Refreshments will be on sale by the P.T.F. Admission is $8.00 for adults $4.00 for students and under 12 free.
