It’s Time for the Bangor State Fair {Video Preview}

Summertime in Maine means state fair time and the Bangor State Fair opens Friday.

Today the local media was given an opportunity to come on to the fair grounds to talk with vendors as they set up for operation.

It was also a chance to try some yummy fair food and take a spin on the Fiesta Shows Ferris Wheel.

One event coming back to the state fair this year is the demolition derby on Thursday, August 1, 2103 at 7pm.

On August 2nd, the 2nd Annual Bangor State Fair Lobster Roll eating contest will return.

Now that the Bangor Civic Center is gone 4-H exhibits will be under the Grandstand.

The Bangor State Fair will open as planned at 2pm Friday but organizers recognize the weather forecast may not favor the rides but the midway concessions, games and exhibits will be running.
