Some actors are so committed to their craft that sometimes they go to extremes to look a certain way to capture the essence of the character. Case and point? Hugh Jackman as Wolverine in the X-Men movies.

Jackman is so hardcore, that he went on a special diet to bulk up and slim down all at the same time. He calls it the 16-8 diet. For sixteen hours of the day he would fast, and for eight hours he would load up on 5,000 calories of very bland food. And of course his workout regimen is not for normal humans, which is why he played Wolverine so well.
