High Occupancy Vehicle lanes - they've got 'em in big cities. HOV lanes typically require a carload of 2-3 or more persons to use them, but some people find ways around that. These lanes are usually faster than the regular traffic lanes because less vehicles are in the HOV lanes.

Okay, I admit to once driving illegally in a HOV lane. We were moving from FL to ME at the time. I don't remember what state we were in? But the HOV lane required 3 occupants in the vehicle.

I just happened to have a full duffel bag that would stand upright, a hooded sweatshirt to pull over the bag, and a soccer ball to put in the hood. Behind our tinted windows it looked like we had a 3rd person riding in the backseat - TA DA - HOV lane acceptable.

Well I'm not the only criminal. In this video check out the other things drivers have done to ride in the HOV lane, but they got caught.
