A homeless man has been charged with killing a man who was found bleeding in a Falmouth parking lot earlier this week.

Kenneth Briggs, 27, formerly from Portland, was charged with murder and taken to the Cumberland County Jail Friday morning, police said in a news release.

Briggs was charged after meeting with state police detectives at the Biddeford Police Department.

He is charged in connection with the death of Roger Nelsen, 67, who used to live with Briggs.

Police said his first court appearance will likely take place on Monday.
