A New Hampshire concert venue was nominated for a special CMA Award. It was among stiff competition, including Red Rocks Amphitheatre, and the home of the Grand Ole Opry.
Last night the 2018 CMA Touring Awards were handed out. The CMA Touring Awards are based on the country touring industry, and the many people behind the scenes that keep tours rolling. Among the nominees for Venue of the Year was the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion in Gilford, New Hampshire.

The honor ultimately went to 'The Mother Church,' the home of the Grand Ole Opry, Nashville's Ryman Auditorium. Last year, Nashville's Bridgestone Arena took the honor.

Bangor's Darling's Waterfront Pavilion was twice nominated for a similar award in 2014 and 2016. The venue was twice nominated for an ACM Award for Large Capacity Venue of the Year.
