After slippery road conditions this morning, officials are cautioning more hazardous weather will impact the area tonight.

The National Weather Service in Caribou has issued a High Wind Warning for Bangor and the Downeast area. Strong winds will pick up this afternoon, through tomorrow morning. With gusts predicted to reach 45 MPH at times, officials warn of the potential for downed trees, limbs and power lines.

Emera Maine says they're prepared for potential power outages due to the storm. In a press release, Storm Manager Lisa Martin said "Emera Maine will be positioned and staffed to respond."

To report a power outage, downed line or other power emergency, call 1-855-EMERA-11 or (207) 973-2000. You can also report an outage online with the Emrea Power Issue Report Form.
