The "Festival Of Lights" holiday parade sponsored by the Rotary Club of Bangor will take place this Saturday beginning at 4:30 p.m.

The parade will kick off on Railroad Street and then take a right onto Main where it will then wind it's way through Downtown!

Before the kick off of Bangor's parade Santa will hold a workshop for kids to whisper in his ear exactly what they'd like for Christmas!  You can stop by and see Jolly Old St. Nick at Bagel Central, at 33  Central Street between 12:30 and 4:30.

Santa has pretty much set up camp at Bangor Mall.  Have your kids photo taken with Santa Mondays through Thursdays between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m., Saturdays between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. or Sundays 12 p.m. until 6 p.m.

Meanwhile in Ellsworth, the 34 annual Christmas parade will step off beginning at 11 this Saturday morning.  The theme of this year's holiday tradition is "Candy Canes and Christmas Carols!" Lineup for the parade begins at 10 at upper Main Street.  It will go down Main Street and then turn right onto State. Of course Santa will end the parade!

In Bucksport you'll have to wait until Saturday December 13th to see Santa, when he'll arrive on a fire truck at the Chamber of Commerce office on Main Street at 9 a.m.  He will then walk to BookStacks where he'll read stories!

You'll find Santa this Friday night in Bar Harbor at the Village Town Green.  Santa will arrive at 5 just in time to light the Bar Harbor Town Tree!  From there you can follow Santa to the MDI YMCA where you can sip hot chocolate, eat cookies, sing carols and tell Santa what you'd like under your tree!  Following will be Bar Harbor's big retail event, the Midnight Madness Sale, where you'll score great deals at most of the businesses in town between 8and midnight!

Santa lands at the Harbor House in Southwest Harbor on Friday night, December 12th! Starting around 5:30 or so in the Post Office parking area you can attend the "lighting of the tree," enjoy food, tractor rides and a bonfire!   Santa will show up at the parking area at some point before making his way to the Harbor House for a "sit down session!"
