A hiker in Downeast Maine is plucked from the rugged coastline of Maine after possibly experiencing medical problems.

The man was hiking on the Bold Coast Preserve Trail in Cutler yesterday when he got into trouble.

The Maine Forest Service helicopter was called in to assist the Warden Service in rescuing the man who was lowered to the ball field in Cutler to an awaiting ambulance.

Warden Corporal John MacDonald has yet to release any specific details about this rescue, or another incident in Gouldsboro.

An 80 year old man from Gouldsboro was pulled from a lake. Wardens say the man had been working on firewood all day and had gone for a swim after work.

An autopsy is being conducted to determine the man's actual cause of death.
