Head-On Collision Kills Winslow Woman

A 92-year-old woman is dead following a head-on collision in Oakland.

WABI-TV reports Jeannette Vigue of Winslow was a passenger in a vehicle that was struck head-on just after 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Police say a truck was traveling on Kennedy Memorial Drive when it slid on the ice and crossed the center line.

Police say Vigue was killed in the accident, while three others were taken to the hospital. Kennedy Memorial Drive was closed for several hours as police reconstructed the crash and cleared the scene. Names of the others involved in the accident have not been released.

Police continue to investigate the incident.
