Have you voted yet? Well, if you have, you are not alone. According to the Washington Post, Maine is one of the states which has seen a big increase in early voting over 2012 totals.

According to the Washington Post story, over 41 million voters across the country have already voted, and Maine has seen over 216,000 ballots cast early, which is between 10-20 percent higher than last presidential election.

The Post story said Maine is one of 37 states (along with Washington DC) that offer early voting, and the story said that data indicates that early voting could represent over 35 percent of the votes cast this year. That's an increase from 2012, when the total was just around 30 percent and a significant increase from 1996, when early votes made up just 11 percent of the ballots cast.
