Normally it is wrong to write on someone's car, but in this case it is encouraged!

We spotted this neat car at the Penobscot Narrows Observatory parking lot in Prospect, but it turns out it traveled from Portland. According to an article about the car on WCSH, the car's owner is traveling with hopes of getting new art along the way.

The car's owner, 24-year-old Kim Saltmarsh, leaves a box of colorful chalk on the trunk every time the car is stopped somewhere for anyone to create a masterpiece, or at least sign their name.

The car's journeys and ever changing art is documented in the 'Chalkboard Corolla' Instagram found here! You can see the art collected from Fort Knox, the Observatory, and Acadia above.

The owner has lovingly named the car "Sharon" and hopes for many more adventures and art together. See more about the Chalkboard Corolla here.
