Every week we feature a new hometown and share photos and facts using hashtags on social media. This week our #hashtag hometown is Clifton!

Believe it or not, at one point this town actually was called Maine, Maine! Because of the large cliff that is visible from most points of view in the town, the town is now called Clifton.

Hills, streams, ponds, and numerous trails offer no shortage of things to do and see in the town. Areas of reccreation are not the only attractions in Clifton though. The town also offers a favorite general store, horse stables, and campgrounds!

The town has grown in population and popularity within recent years and almost 1,000 people now call the town home. Clifton has become a rock climbing destination as well, adding to its popularity.
