An event being held in Bangor this weekend will offer up food and drink to celebrate nature's bounty! The Maine Harvest Festival is a great place to get a jump on Christmas shopping, or just enjoy some delicious food and products.

Local farmers and vendors from throughout the area will show what they have to offer, complete with free samples. Over 105 Maine farmers and producers will bring everything from cheeses to baked goods to the Bangor Auditorium and Civic Center. Judith Perkins from the Garden Ridge Farm says there will lots of samples and some great holiday gift ideas. And it's all fresh, local, and healthy! Folks can meet several cookbook authors and enjoy a variety of demonstrations.

The Maine Harvest Festival will be held at the Bangor Auditorium and Civic Center this Saturday and Sunday from 10am until 4pm. Admission is $5 for adults and it's free for children 12 and under. For more information, log onto the Maine Harvest Festival website.
