State Police Standoff Ongoing in Harrington

An incident in Washington County is being handled by Maine State Police but few details have been released at this time by authorities.

A representative for MSAD 37 says the schools in Harrington are not on lock down as some reports may have indicated and they will be dismissing students are usual.

One resident in the town of Harrington, as well as the school official, have confirmed for us the incident involves some sort of standoff on Route 1 in Harrington on the Georgetown Road/Sacarap Road.
