The state rally for Harley Davidson Owners will be held in Bangor, starting on Wednesday, so motorists are advised to be alert and make it a safe weekend for everyone.

Most of the activity surrounding the H.O.G.Rally will be held at the Cross Insurance Center, beginning on Wednesday morning. But there will be guided rides leaving from various points each day. That means more motorcycles than usual in the Greater Bangor area. The group also plans to have some static displays on the Bangor Waterfront during the afternoon and evening on Friday, with the rally ending on Saturday night.

In addition to the rally, there are two concerts on the Waterfront this week, and that will add to the amount of traffic in the Main Street area. Hall and Oates will be on stage Thursday evening, with the gates opening at 5 p.m. And on Friday night, the Waterfront gates will open for Tedeschi Trucks and Los Lobos at 5:30.

Plus, the Cool Sounds free concert series will be held in West Market Square, featuring the Trendy Robots, and accompanied by the Fresh Air Market, from 5 to 8 p.m. And the River City Cinema will be showing the movie 'Harold and Maude,' beginning at dusk Friday night in Pickering Square.

Motorists are advised to stay alert this week while driving around the region and remember that motorcycle safety slogan: 'Look Twice Save a Life.' The Harley owners are, likewise, encouraged to watch out for cars, and be cautious.
