A man from Hampden is accused of carjacking a driver at gunpoint and leading police on a two-state chase that reached speeds of 115 miles per hour.

Sayer Anthony-Spang Tamiso, 27, faces a number of charges, including armed robbery and failure to stop in Spartanburg County, South Carolina and Polk County, North Carolina, reports CBS 13.

During the chase, Tamiso struck and damaged three police vehicles, police say.

At least one deputy was injured and required hospitalization.
