A couple From Gray has been arrested in the state's first meth-related incident of the year.

46-year-old Charles McNeice and 33-year-old Nicole Adams were arrested Monday.

The two were arrested after police responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle on Tower Road in Windham.

Department of Public Safety spokesman Stephen McCausland says officers located the vehicle, searched it and found items needed to manufacture methamphetamine.

McNeice had been out on bail after he was charged in a meth-related incident in Oxford last year.

The two suspects were scheduled to appear in Cumberland County Court Wednesday afternoon.

Maine drug agents responded to 56 meth-related incidents last year, an all-time high for the state.
