Good Shepherd's Food Mobile will make a stop in Brewer next month, handing out emergency food assistance to anyone in need.

Folks from Brewer, Eddington, and the surrounding areas are welcome to stop by and pick up some food on Tuesday, April 12th. You are required, however, to provide your own boxes and bags in which to carry it home. Representatives from the Good Shepherd Food Bank will be distributing non-perishable food items, along with free produce and meat.

The Food Mobile will be in the parking lot, outside the Penobscot Ice Arena, at the very end of Acme Road in Brewer on April 12th, from 10 to 11:30, or until supplies last. Get there early so you'll be sure to find what you need, before the folks from Good Shepherd end their visit.

The distribution is made possible through the generosity of the People's United Community Foundation. Good Shepherd Food Bank is the largest hunger relief organization in Maine, and provides for those at risk of hunger by acquiring surplus and purchased food and distributing it to more than 400 partner agencies across the state.
