The Hammond Street Senior Center is once again holding the "It's a Basket Case" fundraiser. Folks are invited to browse over 200 gift baskets at the facility and cast their bids for the silent auction.

The contents of each basket centers around a different theme. Some will feature weekend getaways, while others will offer restaurant gift certificates. Gifts for the pets in your family will be up for grabs, along with an autographed Stephen King book!  It's a great chance to pick up some cool gift baskets and tour the downtown facility at the same time.

The Hammond Street Senior Center is located at 2 Hammond Street and offers day programs for seniors. From art to yoga to computer class, the center has a wide variety of activities. Membership at the Hammond Street Senior Center is free, so the money raised by the auction will help to fund the coming year's programs.

Folks can stop by the center between 8:30am and 4:30pm on weekdays, between December 3rd and 7th to see the baskets and make their bids. The baskets will also be featured online by December 3rd and people can bid that way. For more information on the "It's a Basket Case" fundraiser, log on the Hammond Street Senior Center website or call 262-5532.
