A woman who admitted she sat in the car while her husband robbed a Bangor bank and business is going to prison for nearly three years.

WABI-TV reports Cara Blewitt was sentenced to 33 months in prison for each of two charges, to be served concurrently. The 30-year-old Connecticut woman said she waited in the vehicle on the day before Memorial Day last year, while her husband went into the Stillwater Avenue branch of TD Bank and demanded money. Cara used to work for TD Bank in the couple's home state.

The very next day, they repeated the process at the Dollar Tree store, located just down the street from the first robbery. During that robbery, 29-year-old Seth Blewitt used a sawed-off shotgun to threaten employees before fleeing with his wife in the couple's vehicle. They were arrested when a police officer recognized the car.

Seth Blewitt has also pleaded guilty and is awaiting sentencing.
