Northbound traffic on I-95 was detoured for about an hour and a half this morning after a Georgia truck driver jackknifed his rig while trying to stop.

State Police say the driver lost control of his tractor trailer this morning in Wells. The truck jackknifed in the road, shutting down the northbound lanes. Carlos Tells, 29, of Columbus, Ga., told troopers he braked to avoid colliding with a vehicle in front of him.

Tells was not hurt and there was only minor damage to the truck. The rig was removed with help from a wrecker and the lanes reopened just after 10 a.m.
