Folks diagnosed with cancer or who are cancer survivors are eligible for a free day of pampering Sunday at New Age Tanning & Spa in Hermon!

This relaxing event is sponsored by the Purple Iris Foundation, which works to call attention to Pancreatic Cancer. The organization will be busy soon, planting beds of the colorful flowers, with signs and plaques that spread their message. But, on a weekend when the snow is going to fly, it's offering a warm and soothing event for people who may have far too much to stress about.

From noon to 3 p.m., cancer patients are encouraged to stop by New Age Tanning & Spa, located at 2402 Route 2 in Hermon. The services that will be offered include Reiki, Paraffin Hand Dip, Reflexology, Massage Therapy, Hair Wash-Blow Dry-and-style, Himalayan Salt Foot Detox, and Aroma Touch Therapy. Refreshments will be provided too!

The services are free and will be delivered on a first-come-first-served basis. All folks have to do is to bring documentation of their diagnosis and written permission from their doctor that they're able to receive the services. Anyone interested in attending can send an email to the Purple Iris Foundation or click 'Going ' on the event's Facebook page.
