The Maine State Police say that four people have been arrested for operating a methamphetamine lab in their Owls Head home. The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency had been investigating the group over the past month.

A search warrant was issued this morning at 21 South Shore Drive in Owls Head. Drug agents and the agency's Clandestine Drug Laboratory Enforcement Team searched the house and found a meth lab.

Chemists and experts were brought in to dismantle five containers suspected of being used to make methamphetamine. Samples from each container will now be analyzed.

Arrested and charged with Class B trafficking/manufacturing methamphetamine are 40-year-old Heather Gregory and 29-year-old Travis Batty, both of Owls Head. Anthony Torre and Damien Welch, both 22 and from Owls Head were both charged with Class A trafficking/manufacturing methamphetamine.

All four are being held at the Knox County Jail.
