Former U-Maine football player, Zedric Joseph has been found guilty of murder for the death of a man he found having sex with his ex-girlfriend.

According to the Palm Beach Post, it took a jury just three hours to reach the guilty verdict. Joseph was charged with murder after an incident involving his ex-girlfriend and another man, 23-year-old Richard Chery. Prosecutors said Joseph broke into Vashti Laurore's locked apartment 3 years ago and found the couple having sex. He tortured and stabbed Chery to death, stabbing Laurore in the process, before beating her with a hair straightener. She survived the attack.

Joseph was suspended from the University of Maine football team after being arrested for murder. He will be sentenced at a later date and could be facing life in prison.
